Sixtus Pressotherapy

about Sixtus Pressotherapy

Pressotherapy is an electro‑medical compression therapy that simulates manual massage by using sequential inflation and deflation of air chambers. Designed for recovery, rehabilitation, and lymphatic support, the Tecnosix PR‑TH is particularly used to accelerate fluid outflow, reduce muscle fatigue, and assist post‑training and post‑operative recovery.

In sports contexts, pressotherapy helps mimic active recovery during passive rest periods—pushing waste products out of tissues, relaxing contracted muscles, and enhancing lymphatic drainage. Because the device is portable, physiotherapists can also use it offsite during away matches or training camps.

key features

Sequential pneumatic compression: Inflates & deflates in cycles to mimic a mechanical massage wave from limb extremities inward.

Adjustable pressure range: 30 to 150 mmHg, offering flexible intensity to match therapy needs.

Multiple compression modes: Six preset modes to adapt rhythm and timing of pressure waves.

Leg sleeves with overlapping chambers: Designed to prevent pressure vacuums and reduce fluid retention.

Real‑time monitoring & digital controls: Allows the operator to monitor and adjust parameters during the session.

Portable & quiet design: Lightweight, compact, and designed for quiet operation—ideal for clinical or pitch‑side use.

Applications & Use Cases

  • Athlete recovery / post‑training: Helps reduce lactic acid build‑up, speed recovery, and relieve muscle tightness.

  • Management of edema / lymphoedema: Promotes lymphatic drainage, supports recovery from fluid retention or post‑operative swelling.

  • Support in rehabilitation settings: Useful in adjunctive therapy, especially when manual massage isn’t feasible.

  • Versatile limb treatment: While commonly used for legs, optional sleeves for arms, abdomen or other zones may be available.
